Boards Of Canada - Geogaddi - Vinyl Record 3LP

Geogaddi, the second studio album from Boards of Canada, landed on Warp in 2002 and took the nostalgic haze of Music Has the Right to Children somewhere much stranger. Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin built its 23 tracks from faded children's television, detuned synths and half-heard voices, layering in hidden numerology and eerie undertones that fans are still decoding more than two decades later.

It is a darker, more immersive listen than its predecessor, but the melodies are as gorgeous as ever. "Music Is Math" and "Gyroscope" set the uneasy tone early, "Dandelion" and "Dawn Chorus" glow with warmth, and "The Devil Is In The Details" leans fully into the unsettling side. Heard start to finish, it plays like a lost broadcast from somewhere you almost remember. It reached the UK top 30 and appeared on many best-of-year lists.

This Warp reissue spreads the album over three 140-gram LPs in a triple gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, recut by Noel Summerville from the original DAT master. Side F carries the original etching, and a sheet of hexagon die-cut stickers is included. A centerpiece for any electronic collection.
