Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle had been friends and admirers of each other's work for decades before they finally made a record together. Released on Fantasy in 2016, Colvin & Earle pairs her clear, warm voice with his weathered drawl, and the blend sounds like they had been singing together all along.
Producer Buddy Miller recorded the album in his home studio with a small, tight band including Richard Bennett on guitar and Fred Eltringham on drums. Six songs are Colvin and Earle co-writes, from the hopeful opener "Come What May" to the rousing "Tell Moses" and the aching closer "You're Still Gone", written with Julie Miller. The covers are inspired choices: a stripped-back "Ruby Tuesday", John D. Loudermilk's swampy "Tobacco Road", Ian & Sylvia's "You Were On My Mind" and Emmylou Harris's "Raise The Dead".
Rootsy, unhurried and full of easy chemistry, it's a lovely listen for fans of Americana and classic singer-songwriter records.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
