Dancing Undercover is Ratt's heaviest studio album and the one fans tend to defend most passionately. Released in 1986, it dials back the pop gloss of Invasion Of Your Privacy and pushes Warren DeMartini's guitar work to the front. Dance and Body Talk got the airplay, the latter thanks to the Golden Child soundtrack, while Slip Of The Lip and 7th Avenue are as fast and mean as anything on the Strip at the time. Stephen Pearcy sounds genuinely worn out in the best way, and Bobby Blotzer's drums hit harder here than on the earlier records. This pressing on red, black and white striped vinyl is a strong looking copy of an album that has been hard to find for years.
