A Secretly Society Record Club exclusive, pressed on Eco-Blue vinyl and sold only to private club members when it arrived in July 2026. Getting one outside that circle takes luck.

These songs began life as a download packaged with David Levithan's novel Songs For Other People's Weddings. They are the wedding songs J, the book's protagonist, writes as a service for couples about to marry, one commission at a time. A few also appear on Jens Lekman's 2025 album Songs for Other People's Weddings, but here they arrive stripped down and acoustic, closer to a voice and a room than a production. Seventeen short pieces, keyed to the book's chapters, that run through nervous devotion, private jokes and the plain business of loving someone in public.

You can read along and play each one as it appears in the story, with just enough time to fetch a cold slice of watermelon from the fridge before the next chapter. Or listen however you like. Blue Eco vinyl, one copy on the shelf.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
