The Argument is the sixth and final studio album from Fugazi, released by Dischord Records in 2001 and still one of the most rewarding records in the Washington, D.C. post-hardcore canon. Ian MacKaye, Guy Picciotto, Joe Lally and Brendan Canty took their time with it at Inner Ear Studios, and the patience shows in every arrangement.

The tension and release that made Fugazi essential are fully intact on "Cashout" and "Full Disclosure," but the band stretches out as well, bringing piano into "The Kill" and "Strangelight" and adding Jerry Busher on second drums and percussion. Many fans rank it as the most melodic and textured album the band ever made, and it closed their catalog on a creative high before their indefinite hiatus.

A cornerstone for any punk, post-hardcore or D.C. scene collection, and a great entry point if you are new to the band. This is the black vinyl LP from Dischord, the label MacKaye co-founded. Add it to your shelf.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
