We Sold Our Soul For Rock 'n' Roll was the first Black Sabbath compilation and, for a lot of listeners in the seventies and eighties, the first Sabbath record they ever owned. Released in 1975, it draws on the first six albums, the untouchable run from the debut through Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and includes the songs that built heavy metal: Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs, Sweet Leaf, Children Of The Grave and N.I.B.
