Learning To Flinch documents Warren Zevon's 1992 solo world tour, and hearing these songs stripped to one man with a piano, guitar and occasional twelve string reveals how good the writing underneath always was. Werewolves Of London gets a very different reading without the band, and Splendid Isolation, Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner and Mohammed's Radio all gain something from the intimacy. Zevon was one of the sharpest and funniest songwriters America produced, capable of writing about mercenaries, addiction and mortality in the same verse, and his between song timing is on display here. This 2LP pressing marks the first vinyl issue of a long overlooked live record.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
