Lush’s Gala marked the band’s debut compilation album, showcasing their earliest releases — Scar(1989), Mad Love (1990), and Sweetness and Light (1990) — in reverse chronological order. It also includes two extra tracks: a cover of ABBA’s “Hey Hey Helen” and the extended Robin Guthrie remix of “Scarlet.” Originally released in 1990 to introduce the band to the US and Japanese audiences, this compilation’s 35th anniversary is celebrated with a special 2025 reissue featuring new remasters by Kevin Vanbergen. For the first time since 1990, the LP is back in print, complete with original artwork by V23.
