Thomas Dolby's career suffered from a four-year gap between album releases, as pop music trends had shifted away from the unique synth-pop style that he had pioneered in 1983-1984. Despite his attempts to incorporate a heavy funk beat and cover a George Clinton song, Dolby focused less on being a dancefloor king and more on being a commentator. This was evident in his non-charting single "Airhead," as well as songs like "Pulp Culture" and "The Ability to Swing." Dolby's exploration into film also added a diverse element to his style, with elements of '40s jazz in "The Key to Her Ferrari" and European balladeering in "Budapest By Blimp." While Dolby had many ideas, they were unable to come together cohesively in Aliens Ate My Buick.

1. The Key to Her Ferrari
2. Airhead
3. Hot Sauce
4. Pulp Culture
5. My Brain Is Like a Sieve
6. The Ability to Swing
7. Budapest By Blimp

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.

Hold up… what were we saying?
