The 'Mats rocketed Minneapolis to rock stardom in the '80s with their charmingly unrefined music. Rolling Stone hailed their final studio album, All Shook Down, as crafted by America's finest alt-act. Produced by both Scott Litt and Paul Westerberg, the LP began as a Westerberg solo work, with support from John Cale, Benmont Tench, Terry Reid and Johnette Napolitano. Unfortunately, the Replacements' tumultuous tenure ended with the All Shook Down tour. Drummer Chris Mars left the band, replaced by Steve Foley, and the 'Mats haven't toured together for 20 years.
