The band features Robert Scott, Kaye Woodward, Paul Kean, and Malcolm Grant, beloved figures in indie rock from Aotearoa. Since starting out in Christchurch in 1982, The Bats have cultivated a loyal following worldwide and are cherished as one of New Zealand’s most enduring musical exports. Their sound beautifully balances bittersweet melodies with a simple, hypnotic charm, creating songs that stay with you long after the music stops. This latest album captures a familiar yet fresh feeling that resonates deeply with fans who adore their fuzzy, heartfelt tunes.
