The daring duo of Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack, who have been performing as Wye Oak since 2006, are venturing into new, uncharted territory with their upcoming collection Every Day Like the Last: Collected Singles 2019-2023. Embracing the unknown can be scary, but as Wasner points out, sitting with the feeling of uncertainty can lead to groundbreaking discoveries.

Wasner reveals, "There's been so much uncertainty in our lives," and adds that a significant part of her life has been learning to live with this uncertainty without knowing exactly what the future holds.

Every Day Like the Last, a compilation of nine songs, was recorded in North Carolina and Virginia, including Stack's backyard studio. The collection features singles released since 2019's "Fortune" and three new songs. This period saw Wye Oak evolving, spending over a decade consistently releasing albums and touring. The duo's sound shifted, focusing on the basics after years of balancing organic and artificial elements, with electronics and programming adding new textures. The JOIN tour of 2020, which was sadly cut short, and work on other projects led to Stack and Wasner rethinking how Wye Oak operated.
