Iron & Wine's Sam Beam collaborates with Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart of the indie-art-pop band Finom (formerly Ohmme) to cover four favorite songs by noted singer-songwriter and multiple Grammy winner Lori McKenna. The album was recorded at Sam Phillips Studios in Memphis, TN with producer Matt Ross-Spang, who has worked on Iron & Wine's and Lori McKenna's albums. Beam was drawn to McKenna's confessional style storytelling and chose to interpret her songs with the help of Cunningham and Stewart, adding their own touches and finding new depths in her songwriting. The trio blended their sounds to create a sonic tapestry of McKenna's odes.
