Chet Baker came back to the United States in early 1956 after a long and successful European tour. While the tour helped boost his recognition across the continent, it also brought some life-changing experiences. Most notably, the tragic death of his quartet’s pianist, Dick Twardzik, from a heroin overdose at just 24 years old. This event deeply affected Chet’s personality and contributed to his own struggles with addiction. The album 'It Could Happen to You,' recorded a few years after his return, was his second album focused entirely on his vocals. His first, 'Chet Baker Sings,' was recorded in 1953 and 1956, featuring arrangements and piano by Russ Freeman.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
