After twenty-odd years, twenty-odd lineups, and twenty-odd albums, EPs, singles, triples, stolen bases, misdemeanor convictions, and broken hearts, Dayton, OH's fortunate sons Guided By Voices were to call it quits, and 2004's Half Smiles of the Decomposed was intended to be their swan song, a final album. They would eventually reunite in 2010 for Matador's 21st birthday celebrations in Las Vegas, but either way, Half Smiles of the Decomposed may well be the strongest set of music the band has ever released for public consumption, and featured Robert Pollard (vocals), Doug Gillard (guitar), Nate Farley (guitar), Chris Slusarenko (bass), and Kevin March (drums). GBV's final Matador album back in print for the first time since 2008 on colored vinyl LP as part of the Matador Revisionist History Catalog Campaign!

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.

Hold up… what were we saying?
