In a long-awaited return from the annals of obscurity, Secretly Canadian proudly unveils The Sojourner Box Set from the iconic Magnolia Electric Co., now available on vinyl for the very first time.

Featuring four LPs born from four distinct recording sessions that followed the debut studio album, What Comes After The Blues, The Sojourner Box Set birthed the sophomore album Fading Trails and mapped out the celestial landscape of Magnolia Electric Co. in all its glory - from Americana stompers to lean folk dirges and everything in between, all centered around the incomparable voice of Jason Molina.

The "Nashville Moon" session was recorded by none other than Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studios in Chicago, Illinois, while the "Sun Session" took place at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Meanwhile, the "Black Ram" session was recorded by the esteemed David Lowery at his Sound Of Music studios in Richmond, Virginia, and featured a cast of characters including Lowery, Rick Alverson, Andrew Bird, Molly Blackbird, Miguel Urbiztondo, and Alan Weatherhead. Last but not least, the "Shohola" session was recorded by Molina alone, with nothing but a guitar and a microphone.

This LP edition of The Sojourner Box Set includes LP covers drawn from the original box illustrations and features the original box's poster, making for the most ambitious and robust Magnolia Electric Co. release to date. Don't miss out on this long-awaited gem.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.

Hold up… what were we saying?
