World Party - Private Revolution - Vinyl Record
One of our boss's favorite bands. Private Revolution is the debut album from World Party, the project Karl Wallinger started after leaving The Waterboys, reissued on 180-gram vinyl by Wallinger's own Seaview label with a 2020 remaster by Tim Young.
Though it sounds like a full band, Wallinger made the record largely alone in the studio, playing almost everything himself, with Steve Wickham adding violin and a young Sinead O'Connor singing backing vocals. The result is a warm, kaleidoscopic blend of 60s pop, psychedelia and soul, with lyrics about the individual's responsibility to face the problems of the world. The hit "Ship of Fools" remains his best-known song, while the title track, "All Come True" and "It's All Mine" show off his gift for big, generous hooks. A cover of Bob Dylan's "All I Really Want to Do" stays surprisingly true to the original.
A fine tribute to the late Wallinger and a long overdue return to vinyl for a cult favorite.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
