Whitney - Forever Turned Around - Forest Bark Color Vinyl
Forever Turned Around, from 2019, is the second album from Whitney, the Chicago band led by singer and drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek. It follows their much-loved debut Light Upon the Lake, and it grapples with time running out, friendship under strain and learning to accept both.
Brad Cook and Jonathan Rado co-produced, but the album truly came together back in the basement Chicago studio of original rhythm guitarist Ziyad Asrar, where the band had written much of their first record. Lia Kohl and Macie Stewart of OHMME added strings that swell through the arrangements. Ehrlich's soft falsetto leads "Giving Up" and "Valleys (My Love)," while "Rhododendron" is a lovely instrumental interlude.
This Secretly Canadian edition is pressed on forest bark colour vinyl. Gentle, sunlit and bittersweet, it rewards a slow evening listen.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
