Paradise Theatre, the tenth album by the talented rock band Styx, was originally released in 1981 and quickly became a fan favorite. It features a wonderful mix of classic hard rock tracks from Tommy Shaw and James Young, along with catchy pop-inspired songs by Dennis DeYoung, making it appeal to a wide audience. Some of its hit songs include "Too Much Time On My Hands," "The Best of Times," and "Rockin’ The Paradise," which are now available on a high-quality 180 gram vinyl.

This album is a unique concept record that tells the story of Chicago's iconic Paradise Theatre, from its grand opening to its sad closure and abandonment. It serves as a heartfelt metaphor for America's evolving culture during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Dennis DeYoung confirmed this meaningful story in an episode of *In the Studio with Redbeard,* which dedicated an entire show to the creation of the album.

The album includes four singles that achieved chart success. "The Best of Times," penned by DeYoung, reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Too Much Time on My Hands," written by Tommy Shaw, hit #9 in the same chart—it remains Shaw's only top 10 hit with Styx. "Nothing Ever Goes as Planned," also by DeYoung, reached #54, and the lively "Rockin' the Paradise," written collaboratively by DeYoung, Shaw, and James Young, climbed to #8 on the Top Rock Track Chart, making it a truly memorable record for fans and newcomers alike.
