Radiohead's Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003-2009) revisits the band's sixth album through stage performances captured in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Dublin. Released on XL Recordings, the single LP was mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton, and comes in a metallic, mirror-finish sleeve with a printed inner sleeve.
The project grew out of Thom Yorke's work on Hamlet Hail to the Thief, the theatre adaptation of Shakespeare he co-created. Digging into archive tapes to build arrangements, he was struck by the energy in the band's playing: "I barely recognised us, and it helped me find a way forward."
Twelve songs from the album, opening with "2 + 2 = 5" and closing on "A Wolf at the Door," played with the raw urgency that surprised Yorke himself. A vital companion to the original album and an essential piece for any Radiohead collection.
