Psychic Temple's latest album 'III' marks a shift from being an avant-jazz solo project to a band that creates timeless songs drawing inspiration from classic American soul, blues and folk. Cult leader and guitarist Chris Schlarb takes center stage, stepping up to the microphone for the first time with incredible results. The album showcases Schlarb's vocal melodies and narratives, while maintaining Psychic Temple's affinity for nuance and delicate minimalism. It subverts easy categorization by sustaining the collaborative, exploratory spirit of 'Psychic Temple' and 'II'. 

Recorded in Los Angeles and the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, 'III' features contributions and performances from legendary artists such as Spooner Oldham, David Hood, Mike Watt, Avi Buffalo, Nedelle Torrisi, Elliot Bergman, Dave Easley and many more. The album was mixed over three days with Ronan Chris Murphy, known for his work with King Crimson.
