Pixies - Bossanova (2026 Remaster) - Vinyl Record
Pixies' Bossanova gets a fresh 2026 remaster by Kevin Vanbergen on this 4AD vinyl reissue. Originally released in 1990, the band's third album in as many years reunited them with producer Gil Norton after the platinum-selling Doolittle, at a time when Kim Deal was also riding high with The Breeders' debut Pod.
Bossanova shows a less primal side of Pixies, with surf guitar and space rock pushed to the front. It opens with "Cecilia Ann," a Surftones cover and the first cover on any Pixies album, and carries the singles "Velouria," "Dig for Fire" and "Allison," a tribute to jazz and blues pianist Mose Allison. Black Francis sharpens his cryptic sci-fi obsessions throughout, a theme that inspired Vaughan Oliver's classic planet sleeve design.
A long-overdue upgrade for one of alternative rock's most influential bands. A worthy place on the shelf beside Surfer Rosa and Doolittle.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
