Before they became one of the defining bands of the emo revival, Modern Baseball were just two friends making music in their bedrooms. Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens self-recorded and produced Sports in 2012 and released it on Lame-O Records — a debut album so raw and immediate it sounded like someone handing you their diary and a guitar at the same time. Alongside Ian Farmer on bass and Sean Huber on drums, the Philadelphia four-piece delivered eleven tracks of lo-fi pop-punk that perfectly captured the anxious, oversharing spirit of being young and figuring it out.

"Re-Do" kicks things off at full speed, "The Weekend" is all nervous energy and sing-along hooks, "Tears Over Beers" distills heartbreak into two and a half minutes of pure catharsis, and the acoustic "Coals" strips everything back to its emotional core. The wit is sharp, the melodies stick, and the production's rough edges are part of the charm. This is where it all started. Pressed on lime green vinyl.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
