Kajagoogoo - White Feathers - Japanese Vintage Vinyl
White Feathers is Kajagoogoo's 1983 debut album, co-produced by Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes with Colin Thurston. It captures the band's original lineup with Limahl on lead vocals and Nick Beggs on his distinctive, melodic bass.
"Too Shy" was a worldwide smash, topping the UK singles chart and reaching the Billboard top five in the US. "Ooh To Be Ah" and "Hang On Now" followed it into the UK charts, and the album reached the UK top five. The title track, the funky "Ergonomics" and the instrumental "Kajagoogoo" show off the band's slick, bass-heavy new wave sound.
This is the Japanese edition on EMI, catalogue EMS-91060, manufactured by Toshiba EMI. Japanese pressings of the period are prized for their quiet vinyl, which gives the album's glossy synths and bass lines real clarity.
A perfect pickup for any new wave collection.
