Interpol bring their dark, atmospheric post-punk sound to Third Man Records for a rare live direct-to-acetate recording, captured in Nashville’s Blue Room on June 13, 2024.
Recorded completely live in a single take with no overdubs, edits, restarts or second chances, the performance was cut directly to acetate on Third Man’s historic 1955 Scully lathe, originally used by King Records in Cincinnati. It’s an old-school recording process that captures the immediacy, tension and energy of the band exactly as it happened.
Since their landmark debut Turn on the Bright Lights, Interpol have remained one of the defining bands of modern alternative and post-punk. This unique Third Man session offers a raw, unfiltered snapshot of the band in performance.
