This is one of the strangest and best loved corners of the Space Battleship Yamato catalogue: a 1978 Polydor album where composer Hiroshi Miyagawa rebuilt his own score as a full disco record, running the main theme, Iscandar, Desslok's theme and the rest at dancefloor tempo. It works far better than it has any right to, and it remains the most sought-after of Polydor's two Yamato releases. This is an original Japanese pressing, catalogue MR-3162 on Polydor, with the OBI strip present, which most surviving copies have lost. One copy only, graded as received.
