Released by Anti- in 2016 between Glen Hansard's solo albums, A Season on the Line collects four songs the Frames frontman had been carrying around on the road rather than on record. Two of them, the title track of Didn't He Ramble and "Way Back in the Way Back When," had become fixtures of his live set without ever appearing on an album, and enough people asked about them that he finally committed them to tape.

Both were cut at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio in Chicago on a day off between shows, with his touring band playing them the way audiences had been hearing them, loose and full-throated rather than tidied up for a studio. "Let Me In" and "Return" come from the quieter Didn't He Ramble sessions and pull the record back toward a whisper.

A short release that catches him working the way he prefers, in front of people first.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
