December is George Winston's 1982 solo piano album for Windham Hill and one of the best-loved seasonal records ever made. Part of his series of albums inspired by the seasons, it went on to sell millions of copies and became a winter tradition in countless homes.

Winston mixes his own quiet, reflective pieces with gentle takes on traditional carols and classical favourites. "Thanksgiving" opens the album with warmth, "Joy" draws on Bach's "Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring", and his "Carol Of The Bells" rings out with a crystalline touch. The centrepiece is his much-loved "Variations On The Kanon By Johann Pachelbel", followed by "The Holly And The Ivy" and the hushed closer "Peace".

This is the Japanese edition on Windham Hill, catalogue C28Y5002. Japanese pressings are known for their quiet surfaces, which suit the space and stillness of Winston's playing perfectly.

A peaceful soundtrack for the season, and for long winter evenings.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
