December is George Winston's 1982 holiday album for Windham Hill, produced by Winston with William Ackerman. It became the label's signature seasonal release and a winter favourite for listeners who want something calmer than the usual Christmas record.

Winston's own pieces sit next to traditional carols and classical themes. "Jesus, Jesus, Rest Your Head" and "Some Children See Him" are delicate carol settings, "Joy" is built on Bach's "Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring", and "Carol Of The Bells" rings out with a bright, glassy touch. The three-part "Night" suite moves from snowfall to midnight to minstrels, and his "Variations On The Kanon By Johann Pachelbel" is a highlight of the record.

This is the Japanese edition on Windham Hill, catalogue WHP-28005, released through Alfa. Quiet Japanese vinyl suits the hush of these recordings perfectly.

Snow outside, this on the turntable.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
