Released in 1986, it produced five hit singles and made a trio of former progressive rock musicians sound completely at home on pop radio. Land Of Confusion came with the puppet video everyone remembers, Tonight Tonight Tonight stretched a moody groove past eight minutes, and In Too Deep is Phil Collins at his most sincere. Domino, the two part centerpiece, is the reminder that Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford never really left prog behind. The production is glossy and gated in the way only mid eighties records are, and the vinyl mix handles those drums better than most digital versions. A defining album of the decade.
