Firestarter Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Yellow & Bone Splatter Vinyl
Firestarter is the score John Carpenter composed with his son Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies for the 2022 film adaptation of Stephen King's novel. It was the trio's first official soundtrack together outside the Halloween franchise, and it carries the same mix of menace and melody that made their Halloween work so effective.
Directed by Keith Thomas and starring Zac Efron and Ryan Kiera Armstrong, the film follows a girl with pyrokinetic powers and the shadowy agency determined to control her. The music follows her story from the eerie "Lot 6 (Main Titles)" through the tension of "Corporate Menace" and "Sniper Attack" to the explosive "Charlie's Rampage." Skittering synths, crushing guitars and reverb-drenched piano sit together, moving from fist-pumping sci-fi drive to quiet, unsettling ballads.
This limited edition is pressed on yellow and bone splatter vinyl, with art packaging by longtime Carpenter collaborator Chris Bilheimer.
A must for Carpenter devotees and anyone building a horror soundtrack collection.
