Death Cab for Cutie- The Open Door EP Vinyl Record
The Open Door EP collects four songs Death Cab for Cutie recorded during the sessions for Narrow Stairs, plus an early demo of that album's "Talking Bird." Originally released by Barsuk in 2009, it earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album, a rare honor for a five-song EP.
These are far from leftovers. "Little Bribes" opens with a wry, hooky jolt, "A Diamond And A Tether" is a quietly aching ballad, and "My Mirror Speaks", co-written by Ben Gibbard and bassist Nick Harmer, has a restless, driving energy. "I Was Once A Loyal Lover" is classic Gibbard heartbreak, and the stripped-back "Talking Bird" demo offers an intimate look at a song in its earliest form.
This Barsuk reissue presents the EP on 12-inch vinyl in a pocket sleeve. Essential listening for fans of Narrow Stairs and a satisfying companion piece for any Death Cab collection.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
