Death Cab for Cutie- Plans - 180g Vinyl Record
Plans was Death Cab for Cutie's major label debut and the album that carried them out of the indie clubs, though it never sounds like a band reaching for a wider audience. Chris Walla produced it in an old converted farmhouse in upstate New York, and the record keeps that closed-in, patient quality: "Marching Bands of Manhattan" opens with a slow swell, "Soul Meets Body" gave them their first real radio single, and "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" is still the song most people can sing from memory. Underneath the melodies it is an album about mortality, most plainly on "What Sarah Said", and that tension is why it has aged so well since 2005. This 180 gram pressing spans four sides in a gatefold sleeve and includes the vinyl-only bonus track "Talking Like Turnstiles". One for the shelf you actually reach for.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
