Sonic Temple is the fourth album from The Cult, released on Beggars Banquet in 1989 and the record that turned Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy into arena headliners. Recorded at Little Mountain Sound in Vancouver with producer Bob Rock, it combined the swagger of 1987's Electric with a bigger, more widescreen hard rock sound.

"Fire Woman" became one of the band's best-known songs, and "Sun King", "Edie (Ciao Baby)" and "Sweet Soul Sister" kept the hits coming. Astbury's howl and Duffy's huge, chiming riffs drive everything from the stomp of "American Horse" to the sprawling closer "Wake Up Time For Freedom", while "Edie" shows the band's softer, more reflective side.

This Deluxe Edition expands the album to a remastered double LP, adding six extra songs from the era: "Medicine Train", "The River", "Bleeding Heart Graffiti", "Messin' Up The Blues", the NYC Rock Mix of "Fire Woman" and an acoustic take on "Edie (Ciao Baby)". The definitive way to hear The Cult at their commercial peak.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
