Big Red Machine - Big Red Machine Vinyl Record
Big Red Machine began in 2008, when Aaron Dessner of The National sent Justin Vernon of Bon Iver an instrumental sketch for the Dark Was the Night compilation before the two had even met in person. Vernon heard the title as a heart and wrote a song to it. Ten years of friendship later, they finally made a full album together.
Released on Jagjaguwar in 2018, Big Red Machine was recorded largely at Dessner's Long Pond studio in New York's Hudson Valley, with additional work at Vernon's April Base in Wisconsin. The pair produced it with Brad Cook and a wide circle of collaborators from their PEOPLE collective. The sound blends Dessner's looping, rhythmic arrangements with Vernon's falsetto and vocal processing, heard on standouts like "Deep Green," "Gratitude" and "Forest Green."
Housed in a tip-on gatefold with a lyric poster. Ideal for fans of Bon Iver, The National and Taylor Swift's folklore era.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
