The Allman Brothers Band's second studio album, released in 1970, was recorded over five months in various cities, including New York, Miami, and Macon, Georgia. Idlewild South is often considered their greatest studio album, highlighting songwriting by Gregg Allman and Dicky Betts. It features the original lineup before tragedies impacted the band: Duane Allman's slide guitar, Gregg Allman's vocals and Hammond B-3, Dickey Betts on guitar, Berry Oakley on bass, and drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe Johanson. The album blends Southern rock, gospel, soul, jazz, and R&B, produced by Tom Dowd, with tracks like "Revival," "Midnight Rider," "Don't Keep Me Wonderin'," "Please Call Home," and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed." Remastered by Kevin Reeves on 192kHz 24-bit audio using Abbey Road's DMM lathe, with original artwork faithfully reproduced.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
