Merritt — one of indie pop's most gifted and prolific songwriters, best known for the sprawling 69 Love Songs — embraces constraint here, packing entire narratives into songs as short as thirteen seconds. Performed by Merritt alongside longtime collaborators Sam Davol, Claudia Gonson, Shirley Simms, and John Woo, with contributions from Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket) and others. This limited edition includes a signed insert card by Stephin Merritt — an increasingly rare collector's piece for Magnetic Fields devotees.
