Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show came together in Union City, New Jersey, in 1968, a scruffy, funny bar band fronted by singer Dennis Locorriere and eye-patched Ray Sawyer. Their early hits were written by poet and cartoonist Shel Silverstein, and few groups have handled heartbreak and absurdity so well: the weepy "Sylvia's Mother", the wry "The Cover Of 'Rolling Stone'" and "Carry Me, Carrie".

In 1975 they shortened the name to Dr. Hook and moved toward smooth, radio-friendly soft rock, and a second run of hits followed with "A Little Bit More", "Sharing The Night Together", "When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman" and "Sexy Eyes". Sawyer went solo in 1983 and Locorriere wound the group down in 1985.

This 14-song collection covers both eras on a single 180-gram LP, from "The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan" to "(Freakin' At The) Freakers Ball". Pour a drink and let Locorriere's voice do the rest.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
