Merriweather Post Pavilion is the record that turned Animal Collective from a cult concern into a festival headline act. Released in January 2009 on Domino, it traded the group's earlier noise and campfire abandon for something much closer to pop: layered harmonies from Avey Tare and Panda Bear, sampled loops and washes of synthesizer standing in for guitars, all of it aimed at the body as much as the head. “My Girls” and “Summertime Clothes” are the obvious entry points, but the album works best taken whole, an unbroken run that swells and recedes like weather moving across a field. It takes its name from the Maryland amphitheatre the members grew up going to, and it is still the album their listeners argue about most fondly. Spread across two discs so the low end has room to move.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
