Now a Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Jonathan Richman started his musical journey in the mid-1960s in Natick, Massachusetts. Richman and his band, The Modern Lovers, lit the Boston music scene on fire with their infectious proto-punk hooks and garage rock beats. Notable members included the iconic Jerry Harrison on keys and the legendary David Robinson on drums, both of whom later joined Talking Heads and the Cars.

In 1975, Richman moved to California to record as a solo singer/songwriter. In January 1976, Richman put together a new version of the Modern Lovers, including original Modern Lovers drummer David Robinson, former Rubinoos bassist Greg 'Curly' Keranen, and Leroy Radcliffe on guitar.

Released in May 1976, the iconic Jonathan Richman And The Modern Lovers came out three months earlier than their self-titled debut album, instantly cementing their place in music history!

Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on gold-colored vinyl.
