Twenty years of Future Islands, told through the songs that didn't quite fit anywhere else. From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth collects 20 B-sides, rarities, and fan favorites spanning 2009 to 2025, with half of these tracks unavailable on streaming until now. It's not a greatest hits. It's the other half of the story.

"The Ink Well" and "In the Fall" date back to the band's early Baltimore days, raw and urgent in a way the albums sometimes polished away. "Cotton Flower" and "The Fountain" come from the On the Water / Singles era, and both belong in any conversation about the band's best work. "One Day" captures the emotional directness that made Samuel T. Herring's vocals impossible to ignore, while later additions like "Sail" and "As Long As You Are" prove Future Islands never stopped writing essential songs between album cycles. Even the demo of "Rager" earns its place, and "Glimpse" closes things out with a 2024 track that feels like a band still very much in motion.

Released in 2026 on 4AD, this pressing comes on blue and apricot color vinyl across two LPs.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
