'I Was Trying to Describe You to Someone' is Wednesday's second full-length album and marks their first as a full band. Hailing from Asheville, NC, this talented quintet beautifully combines shoegaze, grunge, indie pop, and southern American culture to create a distinctive modern rock sound. The band features Karly Hartzman's clear vocals, a powerful three-guitar setup, pedal steel by Xandy Chelmis, bassist Margo Schultz, and drummer Alan Miller. The album's eight songs strike a lovely balance between capturing the energy of live performances and conveying the heartfelt emotions found in Hartzman's lyrical storytelling and literary influences. Additionally, the album is inspired by musicians and bands like The Swirlies, Arthur Russell, Red House Painters, Tenniscoats, Ana Roxanne, Acetone, and their collaboration with MJ Lenderman on backing vocals for "Billboard" and "November'.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
