Sub Pop, The Fluid, and producer Jack Endino (known for his work with Nirvana, Soundgarden, High on Fire, and Mudhoney) have partnered to refresh and reissue the entire indie-label catalog of The Fluid. This includes their 1986 debut, Punch N Judy; 1988’s Clear Black Paper; 1989’s Roadmouth; the 1990 Glue EP (which Endino produced alongside Butch Vig, famous for Nevermind); as well as a collection of rarities and previously unreleased tracks. All the music has been remastered from the original tapes by Endino and JJ Golden, with most tracks meticulously remixed by Endino and the band to correct sonic flaws that had previously muted the original records. With their definitive material now sounding its best, it’s the perfect time for The Fluid to receive the recognition they deserve.
