Blur's second studio album, Modern Life Is Rubbish, was released in May 1993. It received poor reviews and tours, and Blur's popularity was eclipsed by Suede. To avoid being dropped by Food Records, Blur changed their image, incorporating influences from the Kinks and the Small Faces into the melodic, lushly produced album. Albarn's lyrics offered sharp critiques of English culture, and the album was a moderate UK chart success. It was heralded by the music press, reviving Blur after their post-Leisure slump. Modern Life Is Rubbish is regarded as a defining Britpop record, with its follow-up albums, Parklife and The Great Escape, cementing Blur as top British pop acts.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
Hold up… what were we saying?
