Bob Mould's career has spanned decades, from his pioneering early '80s work with Hüsker Dü to his solo work in singer-songwriter, electronic, and rock modes, to the deafening pop sparkle of Sugar. 2012's critically acclaimed Silver Age marked a return to the alternative rock sound which Mould had perfected over his career, featuring his distinctive pop melodies and scorching guitar sounds. Flanked by drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk) and bassist Jason Narducy (Verbow, Split Single), Silver Age is in the punishingly loud, melodically sparkling pop/rock vein of the Sugar catalog and the intensity of his latter-day Hüsker Dü output. "I'd been batting around the idea of another aggressive pop record for some time," Bob said. "Especially as the 20th anniversary of Copper Blue kept getting closer." Pressed on colored 180g vinyl LP for the first time!
