Licensed to Ill is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Beastie Boys. It was released on November 15, 1986 by Def Jam and Columbia Records. The album features a mix of hip hop, punk rock, and heavy metal, and features the hit singles "Fight for Your Right" and "No Sleep till Brooklyn." The album was produced by Rick Rubin, who helped the group to fuse these various genres together and create a unique sound. The album cover, featuring a plane with the Beastie Boys logo, is a parody of the logo of the airline company, "AeroMexico", and was heavily criticized for its depiction of women. Despite the criticism, Licensed to Ill was a commercial success, becoming the first rap album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It has since been certified diamond in the United States.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
