From the first bars of HEAL, 'Goshen '97' immerses you in Tim Showalter's teenage fervor, set in his family's Goshen, IN basement. Despite feeling alienated, he believed in music's healing power. 'HEAL' is a cathartic, personal record, like scream therapy, reflecting him confronting his subconscious. Showalter was on tour in Malmo, Sweden, when personal crises spurred him to write HEAL, including marriage issues, disappointment in his previous album, and feeling unfulfilled. He wrote 30 songs in three weeks, blending '70s-'90s rock and pop with electronic elements, aided by producer John Congleton, keyboardist Ben Vehorn, and drummer Steve Clements. Songs like 'Shut In' and 'Plymouth' evoke '70s power-pop and Big Star’s ache, with electrifying energy. The album's influences range from Dinosaur Jr to Jason Molina, reflected in the epic 'JM' about finding comfort in music during hard times. During mixing, Showalter survived a severe car accident with his wife on Christmas Day, which drastically altered the album's tone to a more cathartic, fearless sound. HEAL signifies musical and personal renewal, with Showalter finally ready to perform with a full band, fulfilling his childhood dream of being a rock star, celebrating a fresh chapter in Strand Of Oaks' journey.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
