Parquet Courts Celebrates 10 Years of Light Up Gold

NYC Post-Punkers Parquet Courts recorded their second record in 2011 call Light Up Gold. They became instant darlings of both mainstream and underground music press.

A record that never charted, unlike their subsequent efforts, Light Up Gold has always been a fan favorite. Released initially on co-lead singer/guitarist Andrew Savage's record label, Dull Tools, it would have been a much bigger seller with better distribution and marketing. In later years it has been rereleased on What's Your Rupture? Records.

Ten Years on, the record is still discovered by new fans. Stoned and Starving is still a college radio station favorite. Pitchfork gave the album a much-coveted 8.0 score. For the decade anniversary, we have a limited edition glow-in-the-dark vinyl version to add to your collection.
