"You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" sat outside the UK Top 40 for two months before climbing all the way to number one, and that slow-burn takeover says everything about Youthquake. Dead or Alive's second album, released in May 1985 on Epic Records and produced by the then-emerging Stock Aitken Waterman team, fused Hi-NRG, synth-pop, and glam into something the charts hadn't heard before. Pete Burns delivered every line with total conviction, backed by Mike Percy and Tim Lever's layered synths and sequencers.

Four singles hit the UK Top 30: the iconic lead track, the disco pulse of "Lover Come Back to Me," the driving "In Too Deep," and the relentless "My Heart Goes Bang." But the deep cuts hold their own. "Cake and Eat It" grooves with a confidence that matches the singles, and "It's Been a Long Time" closes the record with eight minutes of slow-building atmosphere.

This Music on Vinyl pressing is cut on 180g audiophile vinyl with a printed insert included. A defining record of the mid-80s dance-pop era.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.

Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.

If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.

After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.

Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
