Straitjacket Fits - Hail - Vinyl Record
Shayne Carter and John Collie formed Straitjacket Fits in 1986, following the end of the Doublehappys. Andrew Brough and David Wood joined the band. The reissue of their album Hail carries a sense of sadness due to Brough's recent passing. Brough was a talented songwriter and guitarist, not only for Straitjacket Fits but also for Bike and The Blue Meanies. The debut release of Straitjacket Fits, the Life In One Chord EP, came out in 1987, followed by Hail in 1988. The album was recorded at The Lab in Auckland with Terry Moore. Hail exhibits a diverse range of sounds and ideas, reflecting the band's depth and creativity. It showcases the band's strengths, including intense guitar work, powerful vocals, and experimental elements. Hail documents Straitjacket Fits' growing potential, confidence, and optimism, indicating their dedication to rock 'n' roll.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within two business days. Media Mail might be budget-friendly, but it travels at a glacial pace and gets little love from the postal service. For faster, smoother delivery, choose USPS Priority or UPS/USPS Ground.
Returns
Unopened returns accepted within 30 days — you cover shipping.
If your record arrives damaged or folded (thanks, postal service), reach out ASAP so we can fix it.
After 30 days, it’s yours to keep forever.
Avoid extreme heat or sunlight. Definitely don’t let it mingle with any Justin Bieber records. Treat it like your grandma — gentle, respectful, and quiet during Murder, She Wrote.
Hold up… what were we saying?
